By Air:
If you are traveling from a distant location, the nearest major airport to Tuross Head is Moruya Airport. From there, you can hire a taxi or rent a car to reach Tuross Head which is about a 15-minute drive away.
By Car:
From Sydney:
- Start by heading south on the M1 and continue onto the Princes Highway (A1) towards Wollongong.
- Continue on the Princes Highway through Nowra, heading towards Batemans Bay.
- Once in Batemans Bay, take the bridge over the Clyde River and turn left onto Beach Road (Batemans Bay Road) towards Moruya.
- After approximately 16 kilometers, turn right onto River Road (also known as the Moruya/Tuross Road).
- Follow River Road for about 15 kilometers until you reach the town of Tuross Head.
From Canberra:
- Take the Kings Highway (A23) heading east towards Batemans Bay.
- Continue on the Kings Highway until you reach the turnoff for Clyde Mountain (B72) and follow the road down the mountain.
- Once in Batemans Bay, take the bridge over the Clyde River and turn left onto Beach Road (Batemans Bay Road) towards Moruya.
- After approximately 16 kilometers, turn right onto River Road (also known as the Moruya/Tuross Road).
- Follow River Road for about 15 kilometers until you reach the town of Tuross Head.
By Public Transportation:
If you prefer public transportation, you can catch a bus to Tuross Head from various locations:
- From Sydney: Catch a train or bus to Moruya, and then transfer to a bus that goes to Tuross Head.
- From Canberra: Catch a bus or train to Batemans Bay, and then transfer to a bus that goes to Tuross Head.
It is advisable to check the bus schedules in advance as they may vary depending on the season.
